The Position
Applications are invited for a Shift Operative based at our Nottingham Site. This is a full-time permanent position, working 12-hour day shifts on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern (days and nights).
As a Shift Operative, your duties and responsibilities will vary based on the Company’s requirements, but will include:
- Responsible for the efficient and safe operation of the production operation, reporting any issues to the Team Leader.
- Follow SOPs and COP to ensure consistency and compliance with specified standards.
- Maximise productivity and throughput of the process whilst maintaining agreed parameters.
- Provide support and enhancement to the Team and conceive and co-ordinate improvements where necessary.
- To work with the Compliance Team to ensure compliance with all areas of quality, environment, energy, efficiency, communications, and health and safety.
- Observe and maintain Critical Control points throughout the process.
- Completion of HACCP/compliance documentation.
- General factory housekeeping duties.
Requirements
- Must be able to prioritise the workload.
- Have excellent communication skills.
- Have a good level of literacy and numeracy.
- Be flexible with working hours.
- Be able to self-motivate and work well in a team.
- Previous experience within a similar role would be advantageous although training will be provided where necessary.
