Shift Operative

Location: Nottingham

Business: SARIA s UK operations have a market-leading presence in a wide range of sectors associated with the food chain. The Group s companies manufacture quality products for use in human and animal foodstuffs, agriculture, aquaculture, and industrial applications. The company also produces biofuels and renewable energy and provides services for farming and the food industry. The company has a UK annual turnover approaching GBP280 million and employs around 1,000 people at 19 sites across the country.

The Position

Applications are invited for a Shift Operative based at our Nottingham Site. This is a full-time permanent position, working 12-hour day shifts on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern (days and nights).

As a Shift Operative, your duties and responsibilities will vary based on the Company s requirements, but will include:

• Responsible for the efficient and safe operation of the production operation, reporting any issues to the Team Leader.
• Follow SOPs and COP to ensure consistency and compliance with specified standards.
• Maximise productivity and throughput of the process whilst maintaining agreed parameters.
• Provide support and enhancement to the Team and conceive and co-ordinate improvements where necessary.
• To work with the Compliance Team to ensure compliance with all areas of quality, environment, energy, efficiency, communications, and health and safety.
• Observe and maintain Critical Control points throughout the process.
• Completion of HACCP/compliance documentation.
• General factory housekeeping duties.

Requirements

• Must be able to prioritise the workload.
• Have excellent communication skills.
• Have a good level of literacy and numeracy.
• Be flexible with working hours.
• Be able to self-motivate and work well in a team.
• Previous experience within a similar role would be advantageous although training will be provided where necessary.
