Job Description
Our client is currently recruiting a Shift Operator/Technician for their facility in South Ayrshire
Reporting to the Process Leader you will ensure the safety of yourself, colleagues and visitors to site by identifying and addressing any hazards, potential hazards and safety issues on site.
Responsibilities
Ensure that the processes are operating at maximum in-puts, out-puts and efficiencies.
Ensuring whilst on shift that the operational plant is maintained to the highest level of safety and environmental standards.
Ensure that your processes are operated as per operational standards and specified control parameters/tolerances.
During shift that the planned inspection / testing and maintenance regimes are carried out on time
Ensure the completion of all operational logs and all required compliance and financial data whilst on shift
Qualifications & Experience
Qualified to at least NC level or equivalent in an Engineering Discipline; ideally holding/HND/HNC/Degree or equivalent in Engineering Practice/Mechanical/Chemical/Electrical Engineering or similar discipline.
Experience/competence & training in some/preferably all of, the following areas:
Telehandler/Forklift; IOSH Managing safely; IPAF 3A/3B; ECITB Safety Passport; Hydraulic Torque and Tension (Hi-Force. ECITB); Waste Management; Harness Training; Pressure testing; JCB 535S.
Due to the location of the site a full driving licence and access to a car are required. A Full driving licence is also a requirement as the role involves driving of site vehicles.
Please note this is a 4 on 4 off shift cycle.
