Shift Production Operative

We are currently recruiting for a number of roles for our well respected Client based on the outskirts of Kendal, own transport is required due to the remote location

This is initially a temporary ongoing role however could potentially become Permanent. The role is for Production Operatives to join a team in a manufacturing environment, previous manufacturing experience is not required as full training will be given

You will work on a rota basis, working one week of nights (Four 12 hour shifts from 7pm to 7am) and the following week you will be working 3 day shifts (7am to 7pm) Currently these hours are worked between a Monday and a Friday

The main purpose of this role is to contribute to the safe and efficient operation of the Production Plant. The job involves various responsibilities to ensure the smooth functioning of the production process.

Main Tasks:

1. Ensure all tasks are performed safely in accordance with safety policies and procedures.
2. Meet quality requirements based on predetermined specifications and conduct required quality checks.
3. Perform routine tasks as outlined in standard operating procedures.
4. Preferred experience with IT applications such as Word, Excel, and Outlook, as well as the ability to use the digital inventory system. Training will be provided
5. Maintain a clean and tidy workstation and site facilities through general housekeeping.
6. Be willing to train to become proficient in operating all machines in the production plant.
7. Adhere to and be responsible for wearing the correct Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and workwear at all times while on the site.
