The role of the Shift Supervisor is to work alongside the Area Manager to develop and lead the team through all aspects of GMP and to promote a positive Health, Safety, and Environment culture. The Shift Supervisor is required to manage people and resources effectively, support quality management at all process manufacturing points, and to deliver all expected KPIs.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with the company and customer standards by leading a culture of 'right first time' within the department.
- Monitor standards/trends to meet customer expectations.
- Manage and drive all areas to conform to business expectations of GMP. Continuously driving to improve standards.
Collaboration behaviours with the QA department to audit all areas regularly.
Manage customer visits effectively.
Ensure core crews are set and adhered to in accordance with the labour meeting/plan.
Holidays and absence are controlled as per business agreements.
Experience
- At least 2 years' experience working in a food manufacturing environment, ideally in a supervisor/team leader role.
