We are seeking a reliable and motivated Shop Assistant to join our team at Pick n Mixtures. As a Shop Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the daily operations of our shop. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Pick 'n' Mixtures are an online confectionary retailer based in Glasgow City Centre who supply sweets and goodies worldwide to customers online.
We are hiring for 6-12 hours across two or three shifts with the opportunity for additional hours.
```Responsibilities```
- Assist with picking, packing, and shipping/receiving of products
- Use warehouse management systems to track inventory and manage orders
- Perform quality control checks on incoming and outgoing products
- Handle materials with care to prevent damage or loss
- Load and unload trucks as needed
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the shop area
```Skills```
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following skills:
- Warehouse experience: Familiarity with warehouse operations and procedures
- Picking and packing: Ability to accurately pick and pack orders according to specifications
- Shipping/receiving: Knowledge of shipping and receiving processes and documentation
- Quality control: Ability to perform quality control checks on products
- Materials handling: Skill in handling materials safely and effectively
- Load/unload: Capability to load and unload trucks using proper techniques
- Heavy lifting: Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 20kg)
