Job description

Here at Serco, we have an opportunity to be a part of a unique and challenging environment as a Shop Coordinator at HMP Dovegate.
We are looking for a skilled and experienced individual who can coordinate and supervise the retail service within the prison according to all relevant regulations, legislation, and guidelines. As a Retail Coordinator, you will be responsible for ensuring the security and food safety of all stock items, overseeing stock management, rotation, and stock checks, planning for key dates like Christmas and Easter, and organizing regular Canteen Sub-Group meetings.
You will also be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the retail service, including non-attendance checks and responding to prisoner applications.
What you will need
If you have retail experience, basic computer skills including knowledge of Excel, Word, and Outlook applications, good supervisory skills with strong interpersonal skills, including good oral and written communication, resilience with a basic understanding of both conflict resolution and de-escalation and risk and conflict management, and excellent time management, then this is the opportunity for you.
