The Falkirk Council Short breaks Bureau is recruiting a Short Break Bureau Administrator to be based within the Short Breaks Bureau. The Post holder will assist the Short Breaks Development Worker and staff within Social Work Adult Services and provide an efficient and effective administrative support service to the Short Break Bureau. This will include:

  • Processing referrals for Short Breaks for carers and the people they care for in the Falkirk area.
  • Booking breaks and replacement care for carers and the people they care for using and updating our online booking system.
  • Development and maintenance of records and systems including use of Controcc and Liquid Logic systems.
  • Operation of computer equipment and working knowledge of database and spreadsheet applications.
  • Compilation and checking of financial data and processing invoices.
  • Collation and presentation of statistical material.
  • Regular liaison with internal/external agencies including the Carers Centre.
  • A range of clerical/administrative duties.
  • To undertake other duties as may be reasonably required

You will work 18.5 hours per week on a job-share basis, preferably Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

This post is temporary until April 2026 to cover a secondment.
