As an SIA Licenced Janitor with ISS, you will be at the forefront of creating a safe environment and protecting people, property and premises by providing an exemplary Janitorial service as part of the Security & Janitorial Team.

This role offers a Monday to Friday shift pattern at 10 hours per shift 10:00 - 20:00 in a busy educational environment.

50 hours per week at £12.00 p/h.

You will also be required to work every second Saturday during term time 07:00 - 14:00

The Role

• To prevent losses, damage, incidents, poor behaviours by reporting irregularities and informing any violators of client policies and procedures
• Keeping premises secure and safe by acting as a visual deterrent by patrolling all areas of the property
• Reacting to emergency situations such as first aid, fire response and incident management
• Assisting all personnel who enter the premises with an exemplary customer service approach
• Completing relevant reports following any incident
• Working as a part of a team and your own initiative
• Complying with site Assignment Instructions/Risk Assessments/Management instructions
• Reporting of health and safety observations/concerns and building defects
• To operate out of one main place of work but be willing to cover absences and holidays at other client properties where business needs require this
• Work every second Saturday 0700-1400 in term time (20 Saturday’s per year)
• Cover the Janitors Desk: Answering phone calls and actioning calls accordingly in a timely manner, Monitoring incoming emails and actioning/responding to said in a timely manner
• Key Management
• Lost Property Management
• Setting up rooms/areas for classes and events
• Following manual handling training and guidance
• Recording and delivery of mail items
• Organsing/actioning of weekly fire alarm test
• All other reasonable duties as directed by the contract management team

About You

Qualifications​

• SIA Licence (Essential)
• First Aid Trained (Desired – training can be arranged)
• Driving Licence (Highly Desired)

Experience

• All levels of experience will be considered
• Experience in a similar role is desirable
