Sign Fitters Mate

Our client, a reputable signage company, is currently looking for a Sign Fitter's Mate to join their team in Glasgow.
This company has a strong presence in various sectors including Hospitality, Travel, Transport, Retail, and Leisure. With their continuous growth over the past year, it is evident that they are not slowing down anytime soon!
As a Sign Fitter's Mate, your main responsibilities will be:

- To support the lead sign fitter in their tasks.
- Ensuring that all signage is fitted according to the required specifications and within the given timeframe.
- You will be involved in fitting various types of signage such as totems, shop signage, wayfinding, and vinyl/graphics.
- You will be responsible for ensuring that the vehicle is stocked with the necessary materials for each job.
- Effective communication with clients, site managers, and colleagues is also crucial in this role.

The ideal candidate for this position should be:

- eager and willing to take on assigned tasks.
- While previous experience in fitting signage would be advantageous, it is not a requirement. However, having some experience in a similar industry, such as a joinery apprenticeship, would be highly beneficial.
- A full driver's license and cscs card are both essential for this role, and having certifications like IPAF, or PASMA would be highly desirable but not essential.
- Proficiency in using a variety of hand and power tools is also necessary.
- Being flexible, having a positive attitude towards work, and being able to work well as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills, the ability to work well under pressure, and maintaining a professional demeanour at all times are also key attributes.

This is a full-time position, working 40 hours a week from Monday to Friday. While occasional travel may be required, the company aims to minimise it as much as possible. The salary for this role is negotiable based on experience, with a maximum of £25,000.
