SalaryWe're looking for a very unique Project Manager for this opportunity. Naturally, you love being in control. You are the one that is the font of all knowledge, all things to all people. The only thing here is that this will be a remote position. So you'll have to be good at control, management and delegation from afar.
This place is on the move, it's growing rapidly and has some of the biggest retailers and brands as their customers. It's an absolutely lovely business, 23 years worth of history and experience, ran by an amazing family and in growth mode. All the little things matter in this place, the attention to detail, the knowledge of what works for a signage or graphics inquiry, and ultimately delivering the most amazing client experience. You'll be joining a team of 50. Amazing longevity across the business, and a real togetherness. Which is rare to find when 1/2 of the workforce is remote-based. This is why, a lot of the recruitment is done on cultural fit, attitude and behaviours but you do have to be from the signage industry too. You can't just be a lovely human. There's not that much time to teach you the technicalities, you have to bring them to the table. Told you we are looking for a very unique Project Manager! Are you the one?
As a Project Manager in the Signage or Graphics industry, you're only as good as the company you are working for, right? So you'll be safe in the knowledge you're in a place that designs, manufactures and installs all in-house. Total control. Nothing better.
You'll be the first point of contact for the client (probably a leading name in the retail industry) you'll meet with them, take the brief, conduct a site survey, estimate the job and manage ALL the communication internally and externally on that and many of the other jobs you will have going on at any one time. There's support internally though so don't panic. Each PM has an Assistant who is your eyes and ears on the ground in the office and factory.
The work you'll be working on has to be relevant to what you've done in your career to date. So think illuminated signage, shop facias, window graphics, lightboxes, Office branding, the works. We aren't after a jack of all trades though, you have to have good technical knowledge of signage as this is the bread and butter.
Being an experienced Project Manager, you'll know that life can get busy. You're here there and everywhere and it's not the best job for sociable hours. You need to be ok with this. Things change, plans alter and sometimes problems arise. You need to be the one there to take on the accountability and jump into action when needed. Not all heroes wear capes.
