Further details:
Working with groups of children and teenagers aged 6-16, we're looking for someone to inspire our young people, helping them develop confidence and performance skills. Working closely with our Acting and Dance coaches, one term per year will be spent working towards a show.
Training in the Arts at degree level or equivalent is desirable, and experience leading childrens/youth choirs would be a plus. Candidates must be confident leading groups of up to 20 children on their own, with good classroom management skills and an ability to energise and motivate the children they teach.
We expect our teachers to be prepared, organised and reliable. As a member of the team, you’ll be offered ad-hoc professional development training workshops with our education team and working professionals from the industry to keep your teaching ideas fresh and current.
The successful candidate will be required for 12 weekly sessions per term, three terms per year. We require commitment to the role of a minimum of one year - ideally we're looking for someone committed to the long term.
If you can inspire young people through your talent, energy, creativity and passion for the Performing Arts, we are waiting to hear from you. Please send your CV and a short covering letter detailing why you would be perfect for the role.
