Sinter Plant Team Member
What you need to know about the role
The role covers a diverse set of responsibilities from cleaning activities on plant to maintain operations, crane operations, optimisation work for quality and output and potential for training as control room operator (CRO). The role also brings the opportunity to meet criteria to become a senior operator which will result in an increase in salary. You will work in the Sinter team to ensure quality Sinter product is available for Blast Furnace use.
- Operate manufacturing machinery and equipment efficiently and safely.
- Monitor production processes to ensure quality standards are met.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of machinery.
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety protocols at all times.
- Collaborate with Team Members to optimize production processes.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment.
- Adhere to all company policies and regulations.
What we need to know about you
You will understand the importance and practice working safely. You must have an initiative-taking attitude and work ethic, to actively report issues to ensure continuous improvement.
- Previous experience in manufacturing or a related field preferred.
- Familiarity with operating machinery and equipment.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
- Strong attention to detail and quality.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including nights and weekends if required.
- Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks.
