Our client is seeking to employ and experienced freelance Site Agent for their project based in Edale, Peak District. The ideal candidate will have experience in river flow projects with elements of gabion baskets, weir walls and ducting works. The successful candidate will be working out on site and occasionally attending meetings at their head office in Birmingham.
This is a freelance based role for 16 weeks with opportunities to move to other projects after.
The Role:
The Site Agent will be responsible for the management of the construction sites in order to achieve required project delivery to the customers’ objectives, while maintaining standards of health and safety, quality, environmental impact and cost control. They will deliver on-going projects, to the specified quality, the required programme and to the maximum commercial performance.
Main Duties:
- Planning, programming and resourcing.
- Contract Budget and target programme - preparation and monitoring.
- Site Cost Control.
- Construction of the works to specified quality standards.
- Health & Safety and Environmental compliance and best practice.
- Compliance with contract particulars.
- Management of site staff, sub-contractors and operatives.
- Liaison with the Engineer’s Representative, Project Manager or Supervisor.
- Efficient utilisation and use of resources in carrying out your duties.
- Maintain comprehensive records and ensure all records are archived.
- Quality Assurance and Quality Control.
- Inspection, testing, commissioning and handover.
Candidate requirements
- 5+ years' minimum experience as a Site Agent within civil engineering industry
- BSC Civil Engineering or Equivalent
- CSCS -Black card (NVQ level 6) (Gold card minimum
- SMSTS 5 days qualification
- NRSWA – Supervisor
- First Aid - Full 3 Day Cours
- Temporary Works Co-ordinator
- Confined Space Training - (Advantage)
- Practicable Environmental Management - (Advantage)
