Site And Production Supervisor

Site and Production Supervisor required. Bennett and Game Recruitment are currently looking for a Site and Production Supervisor for a metal recycling and processing company in the Bourne area. The ideal candidate would come from a metal and waste recycling background and have experience supervising general operations staff, a solid understanding of health and safety standards and be mechanically minded.

Site and Production SupervisorPosition Overview

• Allocation of work for General operatives.
• Supervise operations team including breaktime / holiday cover. Stand in when required.
• Ensure breakdowns are prioritised and reported as a matter of urgency.
• Identify, monitor and report potential breakdowns / downtime.
• Ensure all maintenance schedules are in place and carried out.
• Ensure staff are working within H&S / Environmental company policies.
• Ensure staff / visitors and drivers are following company site rules.
• Monitor material quality ensuring maximum recovery of metals.
• Work proactively with managers and other key staff to establish and maintain a program of continuous improvement and Production.
• Ensure daily shift reports are completed correctly recording all downtime and submit to operations manager.
• Monitor daily check sheets for fixed / mobile plant and ensure any defects are reported.

Site and Production SupervisorPosition Requirements

• Previous experience in the metal / waste industry
• Previous experience supervising diverse teams and man management
• Health and Safety and Environmental regulation understanding
• Mechanically qualified or minded
• Mobile Plant Operation experience and qualifications
• WAMITAB preferred but not essential
• IOSH Managing Safely preferred but not essential
• Mobile plant - FLT / Loading Shovel / material handler preferred but not essential
• First Aid at work preferred but not essential
• Fire Marshall preferred but not essential

Site and Production SupervisorRemuneration

• Salary £35,000 - £42,500
• Working Hours 07:00am - 05:00pm Monday to Friday with occasional Saturday work when required
• 31 days holiday inclusive of bank holidays
• Pension scheme
