Site Assistant, South Kyle Wind Farm

We are looking for a Site Assistant, South Kyle Wind farmto join the UK Onshore Wind Operations team in Vattenfall’s Business Area Wind.

South Kyle Wind Farm located in both East Ayrshire, and Dumfries and Galloway, in South West Scotland comprises 50 Nordex Delta 4000 turbines and has a total capacity of 240MW. Developed and constructed by Vattenfall for owners Shorders Greencoat, Vattenfall has a long term agreement to operate the Wind farm. The Site Assistant will be based on South KyleWind farm and will play a key role in helping to efficiently manage and operate the Wind farm. You will primarily support the Operations and Maintenance Team by managing site facilities and providing administrative support to the management team.
Your role / what will you do?

• Proactive assistance to South Kyle’s Asset Manager, Operations and Maintenance Manager, and Service Leader
• Act as a contact person for contractors on administrative matters
• Act as a contact person for visitors of the site office.
• Assist with the creation of purchase requests and the sourcing of necessary items for the site and the site team.
• Assist with the setting up and coordination of limited scope work packages and/or campaigns.
• Complete ad hoc administrative tasks.
• Administration support for the Team: e.g. support HSE matters, arranging and preparing meetings, support the Team with travel & accommodation bookings
• Keeping track and reporting to site team on site expenditure.
• Key Holder duties for South Kyle
• Enacting the role of Fire Warden
• Managing South Kyle main office facilities
• Ensuring statutory compliance of South Kyle’s office building
• Document control and administration

Your profile / who are you?

• Good working knowledge of WORD, Excel and Powerpoint
• Good literacy and numeracy skills
• Previous experience in a similar role
• Ability to solve problems and to work with minimum supervision
• Organised, communicative, accurate, energetic, proactive and result-oriented
• Live within commuting distance to South Kyle which is located on the B741 (Cumnock Road) between the towns of Dalmellington and New Cumnock.
