Astute's Nuclear team is partnering with a leader in environmental services and solutions to recruit a Site Chemist for its Knowsley site.

Responsibilities and duties:
Reporting to the Transfer Station Manager you will:
· Provide technical support for the operation of a waste management centre, alongside the transfer station manager, including chemical analysis.
· Carry out inspection, analysis and routing for incoming wastes.
· Ensure stock is managed and stored following legislation.
· Ensure compliance with relevant H&S policies.
· Maintain effective relationships with sales colleagues to maximise profitability.
· Ensure efficient management of material receipt, dispatch, and on-site storage.
· Perform several manual duties which may involve being outdoors in various weather conditions.
· Guarantee that the day's paperwork is scanned by the close of business each day.
· Ensure that waste is routed, prepared, and dispatched to BMS standards, promptly and correctly planned to avoid non-conformance at receiving sites.
· Identify and report on opportunities and trends in the site's technical control/analysis systems, so that the Company can effectively develop its continuous improvement programme.
· To raise non-conformances on any incoming loads in line with BMS procedures immediately.
Professional qualifications:
We are looking for someone with the following:
· Computer literacy especially in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook is required.
· SAP is a desirable skill, but training will be provided if required.
· HNC or chemistry degree.

The Site Chemist role would suit someone who is:
