Site Chemist

Isla Rose is Working with a leading waste management company who is dedicated to delivering top-notch solutions across the UK.
We are currently searching for an experienced Site Chemist on their behalf, as a Site Chemist you will play a crucial role in ensuring the proper handling and processing of both Hazardous and Non-Hazardous Waste. Your responsibilities will include inspecting incoming waste, completing safety checks, and ensuring compliance with regulations and site procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
Verify and organize paperwork for incoming waste shipments. Perform safety checks on received waste, including sampling for laboratory analysis. Ensure compliance with regulations, specifically BAT requirements in Sector Guidance Note 5.06. Record waste acceptance and non-conformances in the SAP system. Maintain proper storage and labelling of waste in accordance with Sector Guidance and Permits. Assist in processing waste, such as bulking, sorting, and repacking. Provide technical support to team members and contribute to overall safety and health goals. Requirements:
HNC or Degree in Chemistry or a related field. Experience in the Waste Industry is desirable. Familiarity with SAP and Microsoft Office, especially Excel. Strong communication skills and ability to work in outdoor and hazardous conditions. Natural leader with decision-making skills based on data and evidence. This role is available on a permanent contract.
The working week will be Monday to Friday on days.
Salary is negotiable dependant on experience, senior positions also available.
