Job Duties:
  • Develop and implement site-specific Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) policies and procedures
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with EHS regulations
  • Advise and educate site personnel on EHS best practises and ensure understanding of safety protocols
  • Investigate incidents and accidents, analyse root causes, and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence
  • Collaborate with project teams to assess EHS risks and develop risk mitigation strategies
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of EHS programmes and initiatives
  • Prepare and deliver EHS training programmes to promote a culture of safety
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, regulations, and industry standards
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to EHS activities
  • Participate in regular meetings and provide EHS updates to management
Required Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as an EHS Advisor or similar role
  • Relevant certifications in EHS management
  • Strong knowledge of EHS regulations and best practises
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Attention to detail and strong organisational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficient in using EHS software and tools
  • Valid driver's licence
Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field
Experience:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in EHS management
Knowledge and Skills:
  • Thorough understanding of EHS legislation, regulations, and industry standards
  • Ability to conduct risk assessments and implement appropriate control measures
  • Strong knowledge of incident investigation and root cause analysis techniques
  • Proficient in developing and delivering EHS training programmes
  • Experience with EHS audits and inspections
  • Excellent report writing and record-keeping skills
  • Up-to-date with emerging EHS trends and technologies
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Professional membership in relevant EHS associations
  • Postgraduate qualification in EHS management
  • Experience in the engineering or energy, oil and gas industries
Working Conditions:

The Site EHS Advisor will primarily work on-site in various locations, including construction sites, oil and gas facilities, and engineering projects. The role may involve exposure to hazardous substances, noise, and outdoor weather conditions. The advisor may be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhere to strict safety protocols.
