Job description

Position Overview:

As a Site Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful execution of construction projects from inception to completion. Reporting directly to the Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing engineering activities on-site, ensuring compliance with specifications, quality standards, and health and safety regulations. Responsibilities:

  • Conduct site surveys, assessments, and investigations to inform project planning and execution.
  • Set out and establish reference points, lines, and levels to guide construction activities accurately.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents to ensure compliance with project requirements.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and site personnel to facilitate smooth project progression.
  • Monitor and inspect construction work to verify quality standards and adherence to design specifications.
  • Implement and enforce health and safety protocols on-site to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to the project team, resolving engineering-related issues as they arise.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation related to engineering activities.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or related field.
  • Proven experience working as a Site Engineer in the construction industry.
  • Proficiency in using surveying equipment, CAD software, and other relevant engineering tools.
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and techniques.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Sound knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work effectively under pressure.
