Salary Our client based in Hampshire, is an established environmental and geotechnical consultancy providing services to the public and private sectors. As an employee-owned company with a strong commitment to its staff, they are currently seeking a Site Engineer/ GI Engineer join the team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional to carry out geotechnical and geoenvironmental site investigations and tests as instructed by our engineers. You will be responsible for outdoor work operating our own fleet of drilling rigs including rotary, windowless sampling, CFA, and more.
The ideal candidate will have:
* 2-3 years experience in geoenvironmental site investigation
* Full clean driving licence
* Conducting Phase I Desk Studies and Walkover Surveys.
* Performing Phase II+ intrusive investigations, which involve risk assessment and writing interpretative reports under supervision when necessary.
* Inspecting project sites to oversee the remediation progress.
* Supervising the collection and on-site analysis of soil and material samples.
* Overseeing the receipt, logging, storage, testing, and disposal of samples.
* Coordinating the scheduling of samples for laboratory analysis.
* Creating or adjusting factual and interpretative reports.
While previous site investigation expertise is required, we will also consider candidates with strong potential but less than 2 years experience if there is a match on other key qualifications.
