On behalf of our client, Taylor Woodrow, we are hiring for a Site Engineer (rail) in Bristol.

Taylor Woodrow is the sole provider of Lot 3 - Western Geotechnical Off-Track and Drainage - as part of Network Rail Wales and Western region’s £2bn programme of works.

The Lot stretches from London Paddington to Penzance and involves the ongoing maintenance & renewals programme of civil engineering assets such as embankments, cuttings, scour protection, and earthworks drainage.

As part of this project, we are currently looking to recruit a Site Engineer with Rail Experience to be based out of the Bristol area to work on a number of schemes.

Duties:

• Carry out the duties of Rail Civils Contractors Responsible Engineer (CRE)
• Management of sub-contractors
• Manage all Rail Civils engineering activities on allocated schemes
• Provide advice in respect of all construction activities
• Monitor design and specialist consultants and contractors
• Possession works
• Complete Permits
• Assess the plant and resource requirements to meet the demands of site

Person Specification

• Previous experience of working within the Rail sector is essential
• Network Rail experience
• HNC/HND in civil engineering or equivalent
• SMSTS
• Knowledge of the Wester Rail Route would be advantageous
