The Role
A fantastic new opportunity to join us in this newly created position, set in the heart of our busy, multi-site Engineering Department.
This position has recently been established to enable the business not only to continue to meet the regulatory and high standards demanded of the food industry sector, but also to improve on current site engineering practices to exceed the highest levels of quality and service expected by our customers. We are therefore keen to hear from suitably skilled and experienced engineering professionals who would be interested in joining our team and help establish this new, dedicated focus.
With previous experience in a building maintenance environment, the Site Facilities Engineer will undertake maintenance, inspection, and repair of all depot plant, also responsible for checking the Building Management System to monitor and maintain facilities performance. The Site Facilities Engineer will also carry out regular site inspections to identify any facility asset deterioration as well as monitoring Contractor performance & quality and ensuring planned maintenance is completed effectively & efficiently. With responsibilities across multiple sites, you will be pro-active in identifying and implementing improvements to current practices with the support of the Engineering Department
Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm
Duties and Responsibilities will include, but not be restricted to:
- Maximising facilities equipment uptime and availability
- Scheduling and implementing equipment servicing and maintaining the associated plant rooms
- Check the facilities performance using the Building Management System on a daily basis
- Carry out regular site inspections to identify any facility asset deterioration and report/repair as applicable
- Ensure that the planned maintenance is carried out in accordance with the asset maintenance plan
- Ensure contractor maintenance is to standard and update Asset Maintenance System as appropriate
- Diagnosing and rectifying faults within core field of expertise
- Ensuring that the quality of work always meets the highest possible standards
- Responding swiftly to all emergency situations and resolving them efficiently
- Promote a positive safety culture
Requirements
Required Skills and Experience
- A minimum 2-3 year FMCG/Fresh Food industry experience - Desirable
- NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation.
- City and Guilds 2382 18th Edition Electrical Regulations
- City and Guilds 2391 Testing and Inspection or equivalent
- Capable of working on invertors, PLC systems
- Carry out effective RCA's
- Develop effective PPM's
- Strong people and collaborative working skills
- Proactive team player
- Excellent communication/telephone skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Proficient Microsoft Office user
- UK Driving Licence
