About the Role: As a Site Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the successful delivery of a prominent commercial project in Wolverhampton. You will be responsible for managing all aspects of on-site operations, ensuring that the project progresses smoothly, on time, and within budget. Your duties will include coordinating with subcontractors, implementing health and safety protocols, and maintaining quality standards throughout the project life cycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee all on-site activities, including subcontractor management and resource allocation.
- Enforce strict adherence to health and safety regulations, conducting regular inspections to uphold safety standards.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential bottlenecks, and implement effective solutions to keep the project on schedule.
- Foster strong communication channels with project stakeholders, addressing any concerns promptly to ensure client satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate documentation, including progress reports, site diaries, and safety records.
Requirements:
- Proven track record as a Site Manager, with demonstrable experience in commercial construction projects.
- Possession of a valid SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) certification is essential.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage on-site teams effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Thorough understanding of construction methodologies, health and safety regulations, and quality control processes.
- Proficiency in project management software and MS Office suite is advantageous.
