We are currently seeking a qualified Site Manager to join our team and play a pivotal role in the successful execution of utility-scale Solar PV projects in the UK.
This will be a 12 month contract working on the "client side". Ensuring the quality and timely delivery of 2x large scale Solar Farms.
Responsibilities:
On-site Management: Direct and oversee day-to-day on-site activities, ensuring efficient coordination among construction and installation teams, contractors, and subcontractors.
Project Coordination: Collaborate closely with the Project Management team to synchronize tasks and activities for effective project execution.
Quality Assurance: Conduct comprehensive reviews of works against established quality and contractual requirements, maintaining a commitment to the highest standards.
Health, Safety, Quality, and Environment (HSQE) Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to UK HSE and CDM regulations, consistently upholding the highest standards on-site.
Documentation Management: Oversee the preparation and delivery of site documentation, facilitating project handover and compiling O&M or safety files.
Risk Management: Identify and escalate potential risks to budget, program, or quality to the Project Management team.
Logistics and Material Management: Efficiently manage materials, logistics, and deliveries on-site.
Stakeholder Coordination: Act as a key liaison between various stakeholders, including EPC, ICP, subcontractors, landowners, and DNOs.
Construction Oversight: Monitor construction activities, assess progress, and make adjustments as necessary to meet project deadlines.
Inspection and Quality Control: Conduct regular site inspections, implementing quality control measures to ensure compliance with specifications.
Documentation Maintenance: Prepare and maintain accurate project documentation, including progress reports, site records, and safety records.
Communication: Establish and maintain regular communication with project stakeholders, including the Project Management team and contractors.
Requirements:
Proven Experience: Demonstrated experience as a Site Manager/Supervisor in Solar PV projects in the UK.
Mobility: Possess a valid UK driving license and be willing to travel within the UK.
Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of solar PV installations, construction methods, and industry best practices.
Compliance Expertise: Solid understanding of health and safety regulations and compliance requirements.
Project Management Skills: Excellent project management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
