About the Role:
A dynamic and growing organisation in the Chemical industry is currently seeking a talented individual to join their team as a Site Operations Manager. This presents a unique opportunity for a seasoned professional to take on a pivotal role in overseeing all Operations and Production activities at the site.
Key Responsibilities:
As the Site Operations Manager, the successful candidate will be entrusted with financial responsibility for all Operations and Production functions across the site. Key responsibilities include:
* Managing a substantial CAPEX budget of over £7.5 million, with an additional £2 million allocated for project CAPEX spend.
* Overseeing a team of over 100 indirect and 6 direct reports, ensuring effective leadership and collaboration.
* Experience in managing end-to-end Supply Chain, Warehousing and Distribution, Production, and Operations.
* Implementation and optimisation of ERP systems to enhance operational efficiency.
* Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless coordination between different departments.
* Maintaining a strong focus on cost control, process optimisation, and quality assurance.
Requirements:
To succeed in this role, candidates should possess:
* Proven experience in a similar leadership role, managing Operations and Production functions
* Chemical experience is needed.
* Strong financial acumen, demonstrated through successful management of multi-million pound budgets.
* Experience in implementing ERP systems is highly advantageous.
* Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with a track record of leading large teams.
* A deep understanding of Supply Chain, Warehousing and Distribution, and Production processes.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Working Arrangements:
This is a full-time, permanent position requiring on-site presence from Monday to Friday at the Cheshire/North West location.
