Summary
Our cross-domain services are integral to prominent government organizations, with increasing demand in both scope and scale. We are hiring an experienced Site Reliability Engineer for our high-profile government services to ensure availability, performance, and cost efficiency. In this role, you will collaborate with feature development teams and the BAU/Support team to enhance our cloud and on-prem infrastructure, optimise delivery pipelines, improve system observability, showcase performance and capacity enhancements, and proactively address reliability risks.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate on software reliability and performance.
- Automate tasks with System Administrators.
- Proactively address issues through enhanced observability.
- Support development environments for goals.
- Research technologies for buy-vs-build decisions.
- Develop expertise across domains.
- Expand knowledge of technical stacks.
Key Skills and Experience Required:
- Proficient in modern configuration tools (e.g., Ansible, Chef), Terraform, and Docker.
- Skilled in CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins), monitoring tools (InfluxDB, Prometheus, Grafana), and event-driven integration with MQ messaging.
- Solid understanding of relational databases, SQL, Linux command line, and network security protocols.
- Experienced in cloud hosting services (preferably AWS EC2, RDS, S3, Lambda) and well-tested code writing (Java, Go, Python).
- Knowledgeable in cross-domain principles, service management environments, and applying observability patterns for system metrics and downtime reduction.
