The Governors wish to appoint an enthusiastic, flexible and self-motivated Site Superintendent / Caretaker to join our
dedicated, friendly and welcoming team of staff, governors, children and parents.
20 hours per week (Mon-Fri)
7.30-9.00am (to open school and complete daily checks)
7.5 hours
4.00-6.00pm (to close, lock and secure school site)
10 hours
Remaining 2.5 hours can be flexible to suit candidate and school requirements.
We are looking for a committed Site Superintendent / Caretaker who:
• Will be committed to safeguarding the children in our care and will adhere to our rigorous safeguarding and child protection policy and procedure and health and safety policy and procedure at all times.
• Is sympathetic to the Catholic ethos of the school.
• Has an ability to work as part of a team.
• Has an ability to be flexible and adaptable responding to duty delegation.
• Is self-motivated to work to the many varied responsibilities and specific responsibilities around general maintenance and health and safety.
• Can provide maintenance and security services on the school site and premises.
• Will ensure that the internal and external school facilities are available, fully functional and health and safety compliant.
• Will work in close partnership with the Headteacher and Senior Leaders.
• Has a willingness to be part of the community of St Joseph’s.
