An excellent opportunity has arisen for the position of Site Supervisor.

At Norwich Road Academy, the role of the Site Supervisor is an instrumental part of the Operations Team to ensure that the Academy site is a safe and well-presented environment for pupils, staff and the community. The Site Supervisor will be responsible for the day-to-day upkeep, maintenance and provision of semi-skilled trade services or activities for school buildings, facilities and grounds to meet safety and quality standards.

Work activities and tasks are both reactive (in response to immediate or unplanned faults) and planned (tasked by the Operations Manager to achieve the estates management and compliance plans) to ensure the work and educational environment, safety, security and standards are maintained to a high standard in accordance with the school premises operating practices

The Site Supervisor will deliver in the following areas:

• Site Maintenance – You will undertake general maintenance duties including minor repairs, moving and distributing equipment and deliveries. Liaising with the Operations Officer, you will be responsible for arranging and co-ordinating contractors to undertake work on the Academy site.
• Health and Safety compliance – You will be fully aware of Health and Safety compliance, including the monitoring and recording of compliance checks within the required timeframes and legislation.
• Academy Security – You will be a key holder, ensuring the Academy’s security, including allowing access to authorised contractors or visitors.
• Systems and Equipment – you will ensure that all services and maintenance requirements are completed for equipment and are fully operational.
• General Safety – You will conduct regular monitoring of the premises to remove any potential hazards or risks, reporting and recording these as required.

We are looking for a candidate that has:

• Good standard of English language (verbal, written and listening)
• Ability to use cleaning materials and equipment safely and as directed
• Ability to undertake general tasks and maintenance
• Knowledge of, or willing to learn, appropriate health and safety procedures
• Ability to work in a team and to work unsupervised using own initiative
• Capacity for hard work and the ability to overcome challenges pragmatically
