Ski Operations Expert

Location: Brighton & Hove
Timetable: Full Time, Permanent
Salary: £30,000 - £36,000
Start Date: As soon as possible

Our client, a specialist in ski trips and tours for schools, is looking for a Ski Operations Expert to join their team on a full time and permanent basis.

The role will be primarily office based with one weekly work from home day, responsibilities will include:

• Liasing with the sales team and assisting in processing group travel ski trips.
• Liasing with suppliers in Austria and Norway ensuring a smooth booking is administered.
• Reaching out to new suppliers and negotiating rates for the organisation (hotels, shuttle buses, ski schools, evening entertainment, ski hire, etc.) to generate new supplier agreements.
• CRM administration.
• Inputting passenger and school enquiries on to the database and sending suppliers room allocations.
• Attending trade shows and networking events.
• Update travel and passenger information and sending out accurate information via email, phone and correspondence.

The relevant candidate does not need to have experience in this type of role however experience in the travel/school travel industry is essential.

The successful applicant will have the following characteristics:

• Fluency in German is desirable but not essential
• Experience in the travel or school travel sector is essential
• Flexibility to travel abroad to meet suppliers
• Strong communication skills are essential
• Attention to detail is essential
• Strong negotiation skills are essential
• Strong IT skills inclusive of Word, Excel, Xero and inhouse CRM systems are essential
