A challenging opportunity awaits a skilled Mechanical Fitter to contribute to assembling critical equipment for the medical/pharmaceutical industry. This role involves constructing isolators for chemotherapy drug distribution, including microbiological safety cabinets and Laminar airflow cabinets. Ideal for individuals with a robust mechanical background, particularly those accustomed to high standards in sectors like aerospace, nuclear, medical, or pharmaceuticals. Candidates should possess prior mechanical assembly experience, a relevant qualification (City & Guilds, NVQ 3 or equivalent), and be willing to travel for ad-hoc installations. The ideal candidate will need to have a clean driving license and be willing to visit customer sites occasionally as part of a team of 2 or 3 fitters to install our products. This would be approximately once or twice a month as part of the normal working week or on weekends (Overtime), Acompany van will be supplied so no need to have your own transport.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize static machinery, battery-powered tools, and general hand tools for assembly.
- Ensure safe work practices, maintaining a high level of quality in output.
- Report material shortages to the team leader promptly.
- Complete projects successfully, following manager instructions.
- Collaborate with other teams to minimize delays and uphold quality standards.
- Assemble a diverse range of metalwork enclosure products, ensuring accurate completion of test certificates and serial number logs.
