About The Role
Join us in providing an exceptional student experience by leading our Skills for Life programme, dedicated to preparing students for adulthood. As a Skills for Life Lead Practitioner, you will design and implement a tailored curriculum encompassing essential skills such as maths, English, digital literacy, and practical life skills, ensuring each student receives personalised support to thrive in their transition to independence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate in student interviews, enrolment, and induction processes.
- Engage students across various environments to optimise learning experiences.
- Offer continuous feedback to students on their progress and EHCP outcomes.
- Facilitate meaningful community integration for students, liaising with external agencies when necessary.
- Provide pastoral support and enhance student enrichment opportunities.
- Maintain a conducive learning environment conducive to growth and development.
- Curate resources aligned with best practices to enhance provision quality and student outcomes.
- Participate in quality assurance measures to uphold excellence in delivery.
- Equip learners with skills necessary for independent or supported living post-college.
About You
We are looking for someone who embodies passion, expertise, and dedication. Here's what we're seeking:
- A qualification at Level 3 or above, or significant experience in relevant areas.
- Holds a teaching, caring, or coaching qualification.
- Demonstrate proficiency at Level 2 (GCSE A-C) in English and Maths.
- Commit to developing expertise in a specific area and serve as the cross-college Inclusion and Support lead, e.g., SPLD, HE, PMLD.
