Skip/Container Painter
We are currently recruiting for a Skip/Container Painter to work in our container repairs department alongside the current team.
The Role
To maintain & refurbish Enva container stock to support the collections team in ensuring stock is always available for delivery to customers.
Responsibilities will include:
- Responsible for ensuring your own health and safety and that of others and promoting a positive health and safety culture within the workplace
- Ensure all Health and safety obligations are met, and company policies are adhered to
- Report any safety concerns, hazard observations, accidents and incidents in a timely manner to allow full investigation and prevent re-occurrence
- To carry out proactive maintenance on a varied waste container types
- Carry out container defect rectification i.e. lid & wheel replacement where needed
- Ensure repairs & painting to containers is carried out to the best of your ability
- Ensure stock of paint, skip chevrons and vinyl for stickers is maintained and always available to carry out the required refurb detail on containers.
- Maintain through regular checks a working waste collection container stock to minimise downtime and assist in exceeding required service levels to Enva customers
- Print cut vinyl stickers from system onto vinyl sheet through cutter plotter system to ensure the correct stickers are produced & sited to each container after painting.
- Assist elsewhere on site if required and within technical knowledge
- Work to the required Health & Safety standards
- Ensure paint, wheel, lid, light, stock is always available
Ideally, you will possess experience in all or some of the following:
- Basic school qualifications Maths & English pass
- LGV 2 desirable
- PC literate (for sticker production)
- Confident and outgoing personality

Remuneration and benefits:
- £10.42 per hour, £13.44 over time rate
