Location: Hamilton Business Unit

Shift work is essential and works on a 9 week rota including day shift, night shift and weekend rota.

Housing & Technical Resources require a CCTV Operator to deliver the effective monitoring of CCTV to support and enhance safer environments.

You will act as a primary link to all stakeholders including Police Scotland’s local Area Control Room and other Council departments to help detect and prevent crime and anti-social behaviour within the community. You will also be responsible for the out of hours security monitoring of Council properties and all other related issues.

You will be responsible for the security, operation and control of CCTV equipment within the Control Centre and ensure that all records are maintained in accordance with Operational Procedures.

You will be required to demonstrate an ability to organise and prioritise your workload and have the ability to respond and adapt to changing priorities to ensure delivery of a quality service. Therefore excellent communication and IT skills are essential.

Requirements

Foreign Police Check

Candidates should be able to detail any gaps in employment and provide a foreign police check where applicable for any periods living or working abroad.

The preferred candidate will be subject to a Non Police Personnel Vetting Level 1 (NPPV) check prior to conditional offer of employment being made. Please note that for this check to be carried out is a requirement that candidates have resided in the United Kingdom for at least 3 years.
