Overview:
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as Care Assistants. We are looking for carers to provide care for a lady in the Plymstock area for SLEEPING NIGHTS. Hours are 2200 to 0700
As a Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing support and assistance to individuals in need of care. This position offers the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of others and contribute to their well-being.
Duties:
- To provide personal care last thing at night and settle for bed. There may be support needed overnight for toileting, with the understanding if carer is disturbed over a certain period of time, shift will be classed a 'waking night' and carer will be paid an hourly rate for the full shift. In the morning carer to set up peg feed prior to leaving.
- Follow care plans and ensure that individual needs are met
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
- Assist with light housekeeping tasks, such as tidying up living areas and doing laundry
- Accompany clients on outings or appointments, if needed
- Maintain accurate documentation of care provided
Requirements:
- Previous experience in care is preferred but not required. --- - Experience in peg feeding is preferred but not essential as full training will be given.
- Ability to work on your own, but full back up is available. - Alternate weekends
- Proficient in English, both written and verbal
