Job description

Job Title: Sliding Head Setter/Operator (afternoon shift)
Location: Redditch
Salary: Up to £32,448 per year
Working Hours: 14:00 to 22:00 M-T / 12:00 to 20:00 F
Job Type - Permanent
A prominent manufacturing company situated in Redditch is actively seeking a proficient Sliding head setter/Operator to join their team on the afternoon shift. The successful candidate will possess a high level of expertise garnered from substantial experience within a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities and Qualifications
  • Setting and operating multiple machines including but not limited to Tornos Deco, Hanhwha (Fanuc controlled) and Star.
  • Work to tight tolerances and check your own work meets the required standard
  • Take a responsible approach to health, safety and environmental risks and report them as appropriate
  • Carry out any other duties reasonable within capability as required
 
  • Completion of an engineering apprenticeship or equivalent work experience.
  • Preferably trained
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and robust problem-solving skills.
