Snow Sports Manager

A popular and highly rated indoor sports venue is seeking a Snow Sports Manager to ensure all snow related sports activities are delivered to the specification detailed by the company. The Snow Sports Manager will be qualified in BASI level 2 or 3, or equivalent. In addition, the Snow Sports Manager will have proven experience managing a high performing team, and has excellent communication, negotiation, judgement, leadership, and teamwork skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure that all Snow Sports activities are delivered to the specification detailed in the Brand Standards at all times
• Provide leadership to all team members and lead by an exceptional standard, exhibiting company values
• Ensure that all Coaches’ licences are valid in advance of undertaking any scheduled lessons and that all H&S procedures are adhered to
• Keep up to date with relevant teaching methods and ensure that lesson structures remain consistent
• Install a culture of high performance and performance management
• Ensure the slope is always presented to an excellent standard
• Be fully conversant with and strictly adhere to all health and safety regulations, food safety regulations, and company guidelines and rules
• Conduct bi-annual appraisals with your direct reports and hold monthly team meetings focusing on continuous improvement
• Contribute to the strategic decision-making process for your venue; identify commercial opportunities and areas to strengthen cost control
• Ensure all department rotas reflect operational requirements and optimum levels of guest service and engagement
• Continuously look for ways to improve the guest experience

Knowledge, skills and qualifications required:

• Qualified in BASI level 2 or equivalent
• Proven experience managing a high performing team
• A clear communicator and professional operator with extremely high standards of expectation
• Possesses a very committed and diligent working style, with excellent attention to detail
• Exhibits strong judgement, drive and influencing skills
• Ability to lead by example and demonstrate company values

Desirables:

• BASI Level 3 / ISIA
• Dual Qualified
