Senior Mobile App Developer (Specialising in iOS, with transition to Flutter)

We're seeking a Senior Mobile App Developer with a strong background in iOS, who is open to and excited about transitioning into Flutter development. While your foundation is in iOS, the primary focus will be on Flutter development, utilising your native expertise to improve our apps on iOS platforms.

The ideal candidate is an analytical problem-solver with a dynamic approach to challenges. If you have a robust portfolio that showcases your prowess in iOS development and are adept at steering projects from their inception to their launch, we're eager to engage with you.

Though the immediate work is primarily in Flutter, there may be opportunities for native iOS development based on future client needs.

Key Responsibilities:

- Utilise your iOS expertise to guide and enhance the development of Flutter applications, with a focus on optimising for iOS devices.

- Transition from iOS to become proficient in Flutter development, contributing to various cross-platform projects.

- Collaborate with a cross-functional team to plan, design, and implement new features in our Flutter apps, working closely with Project Managers to meet project objectives

- Ensure the best practices of iOS development are integrated into our Flutter projects, enhancing app performance and user experience.

- Engage in continuous learning to keep up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in both iOS and Flutter development.

- Potential to lead and mentor in iOS development practices and, as you gain expertise, in Flutter development as well.

Qualifications:

- At least 3 years of experience in designing and developing iOS applications.

- Proficient in Swift, SwiftUI, and familiar with the entire Apple tech stack, including Xcode and SDKs.

- Solid grasp of the mobile development lifecycle, with a track record of leading projects to completion.

- Demonstrated ability to adapt to new technologies and frameworks, with a willingness to undergo training in Flutter if necessary.

- Expertise in UI/UX design principles, Auto Layout, Interface Builder, and MVVM/MVC design patterns.

- Skilled in Core Data, networking, RESTful APIs, version control with Git, and the App Store submission/review processes.

- Experienced in Test-Driven Development (TDD), performance optimization, and implementing push notifications.

- Understanding of localization, internationalisation, and inclusive app design principles.

- Excellent communication skills with a keen attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality code.

Desirable Skills:

- Prior exposure to or a strong willingness to learn Flutter.

- Familiarity with backend technologies and cloud services such as ASP.NET, Firebase, and Azure, is a plus.

- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, and version control using Git, Azure DevOps and agile development methodologies.

- The ability to work independently in a in fast-paced, scale-up environment, with a proactive and energetic work style.
