Senior Quality Engineer Urgently Required for a Specialist manufacturing business based in Farnborough. This is an exciting opportunity to join and lead a very busy and expanding Quality Team. You will be responsible for ensuring the required External Quality Activities are maintained and improved, ensuring customer satisfaction and Supplier development activities are supported and undertaken, supporting all internal and external Quality activities. You will be making sure that these critical elements of the business are managed and driven with efficiency and accuracy as well as Customer satisfaction and Supplier development.

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for ensuring the required External Quality Activities are maintained and improved.
• Ensuring customer satisfaction and Supplier development activities are supported and undertaken
• First contact for issues and concerns related to Customer processes, working closely with Internal Quality Engineers and reporting progress to Customer Services and the Quality Assurance Manager.
• Identifies and understands quality provisions and requirement of the customer contract, specifications and expectations.
• Conduct Internal audits such as system, environmental, product and process.
• Conduct External Audits on Existing and New Suppliers and hosting external audits by customers.
• Support Supplier Development regarding the impact incidents
• Improve processes using tools such as 8D, DMAIC or others within the supply chain supporting internal activities as required

Qualifications/Skills/Experience

Essential

• 5 Years minimum in a Manufacturing Quality Engineering role
• Degree in electromechanical engineering or equivalent
• Excellent ability with 8D and other tools is essential - Preferably to AS13000 Standard
• Ability to work and communicate effectively with employees, suppliers and customers at all levels and making decisions
• Must have a Valid Driver's licence

Desirable

• AESQ and the associated Reference Manuals
• Completion of CAA Part 21 Subpart G awareness training
• Valid AS13001 Certificate - or ability to gain certification
