Social Activities Organiser

A social role with a difference, for the right person living in the Black country area.
The Birmingham Oddfellows is looking for a socially skilled, outgoing, friendly person to plan and host at least six social groups across the Black Country areas, making people feel welcome and engaged in the socials. Carrying out all duties in a professional and client-centred manner; you will be at ease working with diverse groups and enjoy the company of the over 50’s.
This role is for 32 flexible hours a month, rate of pay at £12 -£14 per hour depending on experience. It is a part -time role only, so please do not apply if you are really seeking full time hours as we cannot extend the hours at this time.
The ideal candidate:
• is a car driver, having use of a car with appropriate insurance and is prepared to travel across the West Midlands
• is prepared to work 32 flexible hours a MONTH, including some evenings and weekends - This works out to roughly 8 hours a week, over two days minimum.
• is available Tuesdays, and Thursdays every MONTH to host social events at specified venues; is also available one Wednesday and one Friday each month and occasional Saturdays, (1-2 times a year).
• is IT literate, can use Facebook, email and smartphones to a good level
• is trustworthy and reliable and able to work on their own initiative, managing their time flexibly.
• has a bubbly and friendly personality, able to get along with others.
