Main Duties:

To manage a caseload consistent with responsibilities and grade.

To provide high quality services to children, young people and their families/carers.

To undertake direct work with children, young people and their families and carers under the guidance and supervision of your supervisor.

To undertake Assessments and Care and Support Plans in line with the Social Services and Well Being (Wales) Act.

To contribute, where appropriate, to the management of Child Protection cases under the guidance of your supervisor.

Job Requirements:

Work with children, young people and their families.

A relevant Level 2 qualification or above.

Awareness of child protection and risk assessment.

Awareness and understanding of the issues in relation to children with complexity of need.

This role is with a Local Authority who are starting up a range of new projects in the Social Care sector. They are looking for a Social Care Officer to join their mission on creating better support systems and opportunities for all residents of the area.
