We're The Ecom King Media, the team behind The Ecom King Youtube channel: https://www.youtube.com/@THEECOMKINGKamil Sattar (The Ecom King) is a leading expert and content creator in the fields of e-commerce/dropshipping, having established himself as a household name on YouTube when it comes to learning how to start and grow an e-commerce business.
Our content is designed to make the lives of e-commerce entrepreneurs and aspiring e-commerce entrepreneurs easier, by providing a wide range of educational content for free.
We are biased — but we are pretty sure we are a pretty cool company to work for.
And we really believe that - our company culture is all about failing often and getting back up quickly, and we empower every staff member to do this by equipping them with maximum flexibility and maximum responsibility.
We’re all about efficiency. We don’t have an office, we do away with all unnecessary formalities and we keep our team small. All our internal systems are tailored to ensure one single thing: that our users get the best value that we can offer, through a carefully engineered mix of education and entertainment. No exceptions.
Due to our massive reach within our industry, we have a great responsibility to represent a golden standard for the industry in everything we do and stand out from our competition, above all, because of our core values: honesty, integrity and to serve our audience to the best of ability - the viewer always comes first. People know that They will be in to learn something new and also draw enjoyment from it when they choose to consume our content, and that’s something we wear with pride.
And this is where you come in: for the first time in the history of our company, we are making a big push on Social Media, because our content production and delivery up to this point has been mostly targeted towards YouTube. We want to develop The Ecom King to connect with our audience not only as a business educator but also as a person, so that our audience may relate to us and draw crucial lessons that are not always technical, but sometimes (often times) are quite personal. We want you to spearhead the mission of showcasing The Ecom King's personal brand to a general audience outside of the E-commerce space so we can potentiate growth and reach people with a wide range of interests outside business.
To deliver on this though, honestly, the job is not all roses and puppy dogs — there is some good news and there is some bad news.
Let’s get the bad news out of the way first:
- The job is intense. We work hard, we like to move fast and we strive to innovate every day. We create systems to make sure that everyone spends their hours effectively so we cut off all of the fluff and we keep meetings to a minimum.
- Deadlines are demanding and non-negotiable. Working with us will require a full-time commitment from you and all your best efforts. If you’re looking to grow as a professional though and you’re okay with the intensity, you’re in the right place.
Now let’s talk about the good stuff:
The pay increases gradually with your progression. It starts at £2000/month (aprox. $2500) and will increase gradually as the company progresses and goals are met. The best part is that we’re at an early stage when it comes to Social Media (outside of YouTube), so there is immense potential for progression. If you’re looking for a 6-figure salary starting on day 1 though, this isn’t for you.
The work is fun, fresh, and dynamic. You will be working directly with our founder, Kamil and our management team to ensure coordination between YouTube content and Social Media planning.
The hours are super flexible. We will work with your schedule to get a routine that works for you. The only fixed hours we will require of you will be the catch-up meetings, 2 to 3 times a week. All other communication will take place through Slack so you get to work on your own time.
Now, let’s talk about the job requirements:
1. We don't require specific college degrees, but any experience with Social Media and communication will be highly valued (either academic or practical).
2. We expect intelligence, energy, and a positive get-it-done attitude. When you have questions, you will attempt to find the answers by yourself before you resort to anyone else. You must also be a team player and be polite and respectful towards team members, even in high-pressure situations.
3. You will need to follow each step of the application process carefully.
4. You must be a good writer and fluent in the English language. You must be able to capture our voice tone and replicate it seamlessly, writing in English as a native speaker.
5. Any experience of knowledge of the online education space around e-commerce / Social Media marketing / dropshipping will be highly valued.
One thing that will give you a BIG leg up (but is optional) is to send a quick video along with your resume. In your video tell us why you think you’re perfect for this job and why you will rock this position. This is purely for us to get a sense of your personality and to understand if you’d be a good cultural fit. And if you decide not to send a video (that’s ok), please tell us why you chose not to send in a video. We can’t wait to meet you.
We value a detailed person, you must follow systems and processes. In fact, just to prove that you are detail-oriented and can follow procedures when you apply for this position, you must include “I have found my type of company” either in the subject line of your email or somewhere in the application. Yep, that’s our little trick to sort out the people who blanket send their resume to anyone and everyone, from the folks (that’s you) who are truly interested in this position.
How to apply:
Step 1. Reply with your resume, your answers to the screening questions below, and portfolio (please include only your own work). Please note that any application that does not include answers to every screening question will be immediately rejected without notice.

Step 3. Once you submit your challenge, we’ll reply again within 1-2 days and let you know if you’ve been selected for the third and final round of the application process. This will be a quick interview in which we’ll get to know you and ask some questions.
