CAHSS / Centre for Open Learning

Fixed term, full time (35 hours per week)

The Centre for Open Learning is seeking two enthusiastic University of Edinburgh undergraduate students to support an extensive programme of social and educational activities this summer.

The Opportunity:

The post holders will assist with the organisation and delivery of activities for international students participating in bespoke and summer school courses, including pre-university students aged 16-18. They will play a vital role in the success of these activities and ensuring students have a positive experience at the University of Edinburgh.

There are two full-time (35 hours per week), fixed term positions available from 12/06/2024 – 26/07/2024. The post holders will be required to work flexibly as some activities will take place outside standard working hours, including evenings and weekends. The successful candidates will be based at the Holyrood campus and attend activities and events across Edinburgh and the surrounding areas.

Your skills and attributes for success:

  • Current University of Edinburgh undergraduate student
  • Excellent organisation and time-management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience working with children and/or young people
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends

It would also be desirable to have existing Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership arranged through the University of Edinburgh.
