Job description

We have a new opportunity for a Social Value Coorindtaor to join our team within Vistry Devon South West, at our office in Exeter.
As our Social Value Coordinator you will fulfil Social Value responsibilities and targets for Vistry Homes, as well as implement and manage the Vistry Homes Skills Academies.
You will work to develop, implement, co-ordinate and report on all learning and development, recruitment, and event activities associated with the delivery of any project-based Employment & Skills Section 106 KPI's and planning initiatives.

  • This is a fixed term contract for 12 months.

    • HNC or equivalent desirable
    • Experience in a similar role within the construction highly desirable

    • Deliver Social Value, Employment Skills Plans and Community Engagement Targets
    • Implementation and management of the Vistry Homes Skills Academies
    • Working with clients to agree targets for Joint Venture projects
    • Promoting Vistry Homes & the construction careers
    • Business development for community engagement programmes & Social Value
    • Report and deliver project KPI's and Employment Skills internally and externally
    • Capture data and produce case studies and information for tender bids/PQQs and PR
    • Build relationships with local communities, schools, further education providers and supply chain
    • Liaison with appropriate organisations to place apprentices within supply chain and deliver other work placements
    • Support the education system/local government authorities, where applicable in achieving the targets set around local work experience and offer career advice in relation to careers within the construction industry
    • Work with third party training providers and where necessary obtain associated grants for apprentice and training projects
    • Coordinate school and public site visits
    • Support PR & Marketing on Social Value and community events
    • Support learners throughout academy programme
    • Monitor and report on the delivery of activities and achievements in line with the Employment and Skills Agenda
    • Evaluate all Employment Skills Plans
    • Support the pre-construction team with tender submissions relating to Social Value.
    • You will work to motivate and create job openings with the on-site supply chain for academy graduates, whilst working with the project team to ensure delivery of any Social Value commitments.
    • A key element of the job will be to promote the Construction Industry as a career route to local communities, Schools and Further Education providers, via events such as school assemblies, apprentice fairs, coffee mornings, and supply chain engagement events.
