Falkirk Council are looking for a Social Work Assistant to join Family Placement Team, a team covering Fostering, Adoption, Supported Care and Kinship Care services.

The team is a well-established and hard-working team striving to provide the best outcomes for children and young people in need of care and protection. This opportunity is for a full time 37hrs per week, Social Work Assistant position, working alongside colleagues and Team Manager to ensure the services and council’s priorities are delivered to a high standard and are in line with Closer to Home strategy.

The successful applicants must be enthusiastic, highly motivated to promote good outcomes for children in different care settings. They must have good organisation and communication skills to ensure effective referral and resource finding processes.

This post is temporary until September 2024 to cover a temporary project.
