Seven Resourcing are currently seeking a Social Work Assistant to work within Leeds City Council. This is a part time (Mondays and Sundays) hybrid position, and we are paying £16.81 per hour for this role.
The role:
To support qualified Social Work staff in providing protection and support to a wide range of people within the community. R equired for weekly contact every Monday, and Fortnightly Sunday family time session to take place.
Key Responsibilities:
- Working under the supervision of a qualified Social Worker, to assist with day-to-day tasks.
- Making contact with clients and setting up appointments
- Carrying out routine visits to assess people's needs
- Escorting clients
- Arranging and participating in multidisciplinary team meetings
- Raising with other agencies and following up enquiries.
Applicant Requirements:
- Qualifications: GCSEs A-C or equivalent including at least English and Maths.
Educated to A Level standard or equivalent experience
- Experience: 2+ years working within a similar role.
- Compliance: Current Standard DBS check.
- Travel: Clean UK driving license with the ability to commute to and from work independently.
- Hours: 37 hours p/w.
