Coventry City Council are looking to recruit a highly experienced Social Worker to work within their Duty Team. This is a great opportunity for someone that wants to develop their skills and who are committed to achieving the best for the people of Coventry.
Your new role
Coventry are looking for an experienced Social Worker to work within our adult services provision, essentially undertaking Duty work and who is able to work with high pressured/volume in a very busy Duty Team. They should be experienced and able to work quickly and under pressure. We deal with a lot of Safeguarding and deal with urgent situations.
You will also have extensive knowledge of Social Work practice and legislation, including the Care Act 2014 and Mental Capacity Act 2005, a good understanding of personalisation and direct payments and excellent assessment and analysis skills.
This role will pay up to £34.00 per hour depending on experience, on an ongoing contract. JD is available upon request.
Working Hours: 8:30am - 5pm (Mon - Thurs) and 8:30am - 4:30pm (Friday).
Hybrid Working: 2 days in office per week. You will be required to attend the office for meetings Friargate - Floor 8. Coventry
What you\'ll need to succeed
To be successful, you will need to have a recognised professional Social Work qualification (MA/BA/BSc in Social Work, Diploma in Social Work or CQSW) and Social Work England registration along with 1 year post qualifying experience.
