Salary: 31 per hour
Sheffield City Council is seeking a dedicated Social Worker to join our Adoption and Looked After Children Team. This role offers a unique opportunity to positively impact the lives of children in need of adoption and those in care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing a caseload of children who are Looked After by the local authority.
- Assessing and supporting prospective adopters through the adoption process.
- Providing ongoing support to adoptive families and children in care.
- Collaborating with colleagues, external agencies, and professionals to ensure comprehensive care plans.
Requirements:
- Qualified Social Worker with experience in adoption and Looked After Children services.
- Registered with Social Work England (or eligible for registration).
- Knowledge of relevant legislation and policies relating to adoption and children in care.
- Strong assessment, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to promoting the welfare and best interests of children.
