We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Locum Social Workers to join our team on a temporary basis.

Job Description:

As a Locum Social Worker, you will be responsible for providing social work services and support to individuals and families within the local community. Your role will involve conducting assessments, developing care plans, and coordinating services to ensure the well-being and safety of vulnerable individuals. This position requires experience working within the UK social services system and a deep understanding of relevant legislation and policies.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of individuals and families to determine their needs and risks.
• Develop and implement care plans that address identified needs and promote positive outcomes.
• Provide counselling, advocacy, and support to individuals and families, empowering them to make informed decisions.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including healthcare professionals, educators, and legal representatives, to coordinate and deliver appropriate services.
• Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and best practice guidelines.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, documentation, and case files.
• Participate in case conferences, meetings, and reviews as required.
• Stay abreast of changes in legislation, policies, and social work practices, and apply them effectively in your work.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Degree in Social Work or a related field
• Registered as a Social Worker with the relevant regulatory body in the UK (e.g., Social Work England, Social Care Wales, Scottish Social Services Council)
• Proven experience working as a Social Worker within the UK social services system.
• In-depth knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures in the UK
• Strong assessment, intervention, and case management skills
• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in complex situations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with individuals and multidisciplinary teams.
• Proficiency in using relevant software and technology for documentation and communication purposes.
• Flexibility and adaptability to work in different settings and handle varying caseloads.
