Social Worker Dols

Sirona Medical are looking to recruit a Social Worker who has experience in community DOLS, MCA and BIA.
£35 - £38 per hour dependent on experience
£150 pw expenses if the candidate lives outside the Local Authority

Job Role: This particular role is based within a Local Authority in South East England. Social work duties involve working as part of a specialist team working to reduce the backlog of Community Deprivation of Liberty cases that have been identified as needing to be prioritised and prepared for application to the Court of Protection for authorisation of the deprivation of liberty. You will need to have a strong understanding of the relevant legislation around the Mental Capacity Act and experience of completing mental capacity assessments and best interest decision making. You will need to be able to undertake strengths based reviews and reassessments identifying opportunities to reduce restrictions on people’s independence where possible. You will need to be able to prepare reports and submissions that are of a standard suitable for application to Court. You will need to work at a fast
pace, effectively managing a small but complex caseload. You will be working under a dedicated Service Manager and need to report on completion of work and liaise effectively with legal support.
Sirona Medical will be providing the Social Worker to the Local Authority on an agency basis. As a Social Worker you will be representing Sirona Medical and the Local Authority.
The role is one Social Worker Monday to Friday 37 hours per week.
As a Social Worker, you must have a degree in Social Work
Experience in Community DOLS
Experience of MCA and Best Interest Assessment
To act in accordance with Social Work England registration requirements and Code of Conduct for exercising accountability and professional practice.
